R. U. Hacking? (Reading University Hacking) is the Technology society at the University of Reading. We are proud to present our fourth annual 24-hour student hackathon, welcoming students from all over the UK and EU!
Whether you're completely new to programming or are a seasoned hackathon veteran, you are welcome to join us in this fun and collaborative invention marathon! There are lots of prizes to be won so come along and get involved - beginners welcome!

Our challenge is centred around the WS50, which we discussed above. You can pick any of the following challenges:
Create an application that runs on the WS50
Create a storyboard / mock-up of an application that could run on the WS50
The application you create should meet a use-case for one of the following sectors:

Retail / Hospitality

We would expect the solution to be fully functional - so you can dial the telephone number and exercise all the options provided.
We will be looking for innovation and imagination in what information is provided and how complex the web service is (how many sites it collects data from and how much manipulation it is having to do to parse the data).
The best solution will win a £100 Amazon voucher and 2nd place a £50 Amazon voucher.
